I created this site to provide some information useful to vegans in western New York.  Although I do not know of any area vegan restaurants, I do know that many area restaurants either have vegan items on their menus or will accomodate vegans upon request.  This site also allows people interested in veganism to connect with each other.  I also invite your input to help communicate useful information and to build a sense of community among people with similar interests.

Vegetarian Summerfest will be held June 18, 2008 to June 22, 2008 at the Conference Center at Pitt-Johnstown on the University of Pittsburgh campus in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

IVU World Vegetarian Congress will be held July 27, 2008 to August 3, 2008 in Dresden, Germany. 

Capital Region Vegetarian Expo will be held September 13, 2008 at Saratoga Springs City Center, 522 Broadway Street, Saratoga Springs, New York.
